Welcome to West Harbor Club

Tucked along NE Catawba Road in Port Clinton, our little harbor of a park has everything a Lake Erie summer needs — and nothing it doesn't. Fifty homesites, tree-lined lanes, good neighbors, and the lake right down the road. Our family has welcomed summer residents here since 1975.

🏡

50 Homesites

A small, neighborly community — big enough for friends, small enough to know everybody's name (and their dog's).

Minutes to the Lake

Boat ramps, marinas, and charter docks are just down the road. Walleye season is a way of life here.

Island Ferries Nearby

Put-in-Bay and Kelleys Island are a short ferry ride away — close enough for dinner, far enough to feel like a getaway.

Seasonal & Simple

A part-time summer home without the year-round upkeep. Open with the spring walleye run, rest for the winter.

Life Runs on Lake Time

West Harbor Club is a seasonal park — we open with the spring walleye run and close down after the fall colors. Here's how a year at the harbor goes:

🌷 Spring — Opening

The park wakes up. Water's on, porches are swept, and the first cookout of the year is never far off. Welcome-back letters go out to every resident before opening day.

☀️ Summer — Peak Lake

Long days on the water, community events and cookouts, grandkids visiting, and the Fourth of July done the way it should be — small-town parade, big-sky fireworks.

🍂 Fall — The Quiet Gold

Perch season, crisp mornings, and the best sunsets of the year. We wind down together with closing notices, winterizing reminders, and one last get-together.

❄️ Winter — Resting

The park sleeps under the snow while residents head home or south. We keep an eye on things — spring always comes.

The Lake Life, Right Down the Road

Port Clinton calls itself the Walleye Capital of the World, and Catawba Island is Lake Erie's front porch. Living here puts it all within easy reach:

  • Lake Erie fishing — walleye, perch, and smallmouth, from your boat or a local charter
  • East Harbor State Park — a 1,500-foot sand beach, trails, and picnic grounds minutes away
  • The island ferries — day trips to Put-in-Bay and Kelleys Island
  • Marblehead Lighthouse — the most photographed spot on the Ohio shore
  • Cedar Point — the Roller Coaster Capital of the World, just across the bay
